Divij Sharan could not have been more satisfied. After toppling fifth seed Vivek Shokeen in the morning, he did one better by upsetting third seed Jitin Bishnoi 6-0, 6-3 to enter the semi-finals of the DSCL sub junior National tennis championships on Wednesday.

The exodus of seeds continued in the under 16 section when Vishnu Vardhan crushed second seeded Anshuman Dutta 6-1, 6-0. Wild card Shweta brought about the biggest upset in the girls under 16 by knocking out fourth seed Parul Goswami 6-2, 7-5 to enter the last four.

In the boys under 14, Raju Kaushik also had a good run. After putting out eight seed Marlon Coehlo in the morning, he stunned fourth seed Nityaesh Natraj 6-1, 6-2.

Playing two matches in the space of three hours can be taxing for anyone. But Delhi lad, Divij seems to have unlimited energy.
